Symptoms of Fatigue: How You Can Fight this Crippling Condition
The first step in dealing with symptoms of fatigue is an understanding of how our bodies actually work. When we were born, we were endowed with an in-born healing capacity. But, much like a bank account, when withdrawals are made, replenishment must be made.
It is not the symptoms of fatigue that are the disease, they are just the outcome. In natural health philosophy, symptoms actually represent the fight of the body to restore itself to health.
The inflammation response is generated by your own body for protection from damaging elements. Western Medicine’s focus has been that inflammation is the actual disease, not a defensive response of the body. The primary emphasis of the pharmaceutical industry is the development of drugs to reduce inflammation. So, the body never gets rid of the cause of the inflammation which continues to damage your body.
There are five signs in the body’s inflammation fight:
* pain * heat * redness * swelling * loss of function
Chronic fatigue is associated with the body’s inflammation response and the symptoms are because of it.
Why Do So Many People Suffer from Fatigue?
I’ve talked about coming into life with a certain amount of healing power in your healing bank account. Unfortunately, too many withdrawals have been made from the account and the body can no longer maintain its balance and this is when chronic fatigue sets in.
There are multiple causes of chronic fatigue:
* lack of exercise * diet * drug-induced changes in cellular function * environmental pollutants * too much stress * emotional stress * post viral
These represent some of the causes, but that is much too complicated for medicine to deal with because it needs one disease/one cause to craft a picture.
There are no drugs for the symptoms of chronic fatigue. Since there are no accepted causes, effective therapies do not exist. Is it likely there will ever be any drugs? I don’t think so. The symptoms are from the body fighting for its health. The way to help is to help the body do what it’s trying to do.
In alternative thinking, symptoms represent the body’s fight for health and therapies must support them. People are now looking for alternative disciplines in their fight against chronic fatigue. This isn’t supported by medicine and you have to be careful as there are a lot of for-profit people selling lots of misinformation.
Suppressing symptoms is what we all want, but is it the right direction? That answer is no. But there is another way. By using alternative therapies that actually support the symptoms, you can get rid of the underlying thing that’s causing the symptoms and get rid of both at the same time.
